Yes, you do unfortunately need a Figma account to leave comments on a Figma design. Once you’re logged into your Figma account you can directly leave comments anywhere in the design. If you use a 3rd party tool like Magicul Monocle then you can generate a new link to share your Figma designs. Magicul Monocle also allows users to leave comments without having an account. They simply have to enter their email address and thats it.
Once you’ve shared a Figma design with Magicul Monocle, we will email you a unique admin link. With the admin link you can edit which pages are being displayed and which are hidden in your shared Figma design. People you’ve shared your design with will not be able to edit this.
Yes you can set a password for any Figma design you’re sharing. This feature is limited to paid Figma plans though.
